Shade Haven Supports Community, Agriculture, and Learning
Shade Haven and Wood Street Rental are co-sponsoring a Shade Haven SH1200P for outdoor agriculture educational programming throughout July. In the last two weeks more than 950 adults and children enjoyed the shade under the Shade Haven for U-Pick community veggie-picking event, a Summer Sizzle reading event, and a youth tractor driving test.

Eighty people kept cool under the Shade Haven at the Summer Sizzle reading event hosted by Food + Farm Exploration Center and United Way on July 15. Activities included a tractor “petting zoo”, popcorn popping demo and story time under the Shade.

850 community members came to pick potatoes and peas, have fun on the bouncy house and tractors, and of course, cool off under the Shade Haven at a U-Pick event on July 7
